Assam Public Service Commission released a recruitment notification for the Combined Competitive Examination 2024. Eligible candidates may apply for the posts online through the APSC Portal starting January 17, 2024. Thus, the applicants need to read the eligibility conditions properly. Anyone with a degree from any recognised university may submit their APSC CCE Recruitment Application. The commission will select the applicants by conducting a two-stage selection process. Eligibility Criteria for Assam CCE 2024 Recruitment

You must meet all the eligibility criteria for the above positions. Failure to comply with any given conditions may lead to disqualification without prior notice.

Here are the key requirements you must fulfil:

• Degree in any stream from an accredited institution.
• You must be a minimum of 21 and a maximum of 38 years old as of 1 January 2023 (relaxation applicable for reserved categories).
  • Relaxation in upper age is applicable for reserved category applicants.
• One must be able to speak and write Assamese or another language associated with the state.
• Be registered at the District Employment office of Assam.

APSC CCE Application Fee details

The authority has set the fee as per the category of the applicants, which is non-refundable. However, a portal charge is also levied along with the application fee. You can pay the fee only as per the available means.

APSC CCE 2024 Selection Procedure

• In contrast, there are two stages of recruitment: 1) Preliminary Examination followed by 2) Mains Examination.

• For preliminary, only applicants who submit complete and accurate application forms will be invited to participate. Any incomplete application form is rejected summarily.

• Based on the preliminary exam score, at least 11 to 12 times the advertised posts, applicants are admitted for the mains exam.

• The main examination is divided into:
  • Written examination and,
  • Interview.

APSC CCE Exam Scheme

Preliminary Examination

• It will consist of two papers.
  • Paper 1: General Studies I
  • Paper 2: General Studies II

• This exam is meant for screening purposes, so its marks are not considered for the final merit list.

• It will be an objective and multiple-choice question paper carrying a maximum of 200 marks.

• Paper II is qualifying in nature.

• The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

• There will be a one-fourth negative mark in the examination.

Main Examination

• As said earlier, this exam is divided into two stages
  • Written examination and,
  • Interview

• The written exam comprises 6 papers of conventional essay or objective types.

• Paper 1 is an essay containing a maximum of 250 marks, the duration of which is 2 hours.

• Paper 2 to Paper 6 is of general studies whose duration is also 3 hrs and consists of 250 marks each.

• Interview of a maximum of 180 marks and
  • Based on the performance in the main written test, candidates will be called in a 1:3 ratio of the advertised vacancy in each category.
