Eligibility Criteria for Assam CCE 2024 Recruitment

APSC CCE 2024 Selection Procedure
- In contrast, there are two stages of recruitment: 1) Preliminary Examination followed by 2) Mains Examination.
- For preliminary, only applicants who submit complete and accurate application forms will be invited to participate. Any incomplete application form is rejected summarily.
- Based on the preliminary exam score, at least 11 to 12 times the advertised posts, applicants are admitted for the mains exam.
- The main examination is divided into:

APSC CCE Exam Scheme
Preliminary Examination
- It will consist of two papers.
- Paper 1: General Studies I
- Paper 2: General Studies II
- This exam is meant for screening purposes, so its marks are not considered for the final merit list.
- It will be an objective and multiple-choice question paper carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
- Paper II is qualifying in nature.
- The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
- There will be a one-fourth negative mark in the examination.
Main Examination
- As said earlier, this exam is divided into two stages
- Written examination and,
- Interview
- The written exam comprises 6 papers of conventional essay or objective types.
- Paper 1 is an essay containing a maximum of 250 marks, the duration of which is 2 hours.
- Paper 2 to Paper 6 is of general studies whose duration is also 3 hrs and consists of 250 marks each.
- Interview of a maximum of 180 marks and
- Based on the performance in the main written test, candidates will be called in a 1:3 ratio of the advertised vacancy in each category.
