NEET i.e., National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The National Testing Agency conducted the 2024 Session NEET on 5th May 2024. No issue was reported during the exam. However, a huge NEET Result 2024 Controversy took place after the declaration of the result. The exam conducting authority released the result earlier and on the day of the Lok Sabha Election Result. However, it was not the major issue.
The major issue was the number of candidates who scored full marks in the exam. In history, the number of candidates who score full marks is very low. However, this year more than 60 candidates have scored full marks which created speculation. On 11th June 2024, The Supreme Court Hearing will take place. Let’s see what the Supreme Court has decided regarding the NEET Result, Whether they will allow the conduction of the exam again or not.
NEET Result 2024 Controversy
The NEET Result statistics were shocking for the students as well as the general public. A person also highlighted the fact that it is not possible to score 319 and 318 marks if the correct marking pattern is followed. However, several students have managed to score these marks. All of these allegations state that the paper was leaked or any misconducting activity was conducted during the exam.
The students who have worked hard to score decent marks are worried that they will not get placed on the merit list. Therefore, everyone wants the authority to conduct the exam again. To solve the NEET Result 2024 Controversy issue, the National Testing Agency authority held a press conference on Saturday.
At the conference, the officials stated that the increase in the number of toppers might be due to an increase in several candidates who appeared for the exam. Till now, they have not found any proof which stated otherwise. The team is still solving the issue and if the high power committee found anything they will reconduct the exam.
Supreme Court Hearing (13th June Update)
13th June – Grace Marks Given To 1563 Candidates Will Be Cancelled, They’ll Be Given Retest Option: Centre Tells Supreme Court
Supreme Court is ready to hear the petition on 11th June 2024. The petition has been made to cancel the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate 2024. The petition has been made due to the allegation of a paper leak. However, it is yet to be proven whether the paper leaked or not. The matter will be reviewed by the vacation bench consisting of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta.
The case was filed on 1st June which was followed by an investigation made by the Bihar police into the paper leak investigation of the NEET UG. Once, the result was declared on 4th June, it was found that a total of 67 studnets scored full marks i.e., 720 marks out of 720.
Out of this, a total of 6 students scored the full marks from the same exam centre which is a less likely situation. The exam conducting authority i.e., the National Testing Agency is under intense scrutiny for issues like mismanagement, grace marks, etc. Now, the students are demanding a re-examination.

NEET Result 2024 Controversy
Several private coaching centres like Allen, Physics Wallah and more have started questioning the results. A recent post has been uploaded by the Physics Wallah i.e., Alakh Pandey where he has hinted that he will be approaching the Supreme Court over the matter of the NEET Result 2024 Controversy.
The petition raises issues like 67 students scoring All India First Rank, 8 students from a single exam centre securing first rank, scores of 718 and 719 out of 720, results being released 10 days early and grace marks being awarded for time wasted during the exam.
